How to configure email alert when BE 2012 is requiring or waiting for a tape to be inserted ?

How can I configure BE 2012 so that it send out email when waiting for a tape drive to be inserted to certain slot and which media to expect ?

Because I found out that the tape drive request logged since one and half week ago in Windows Event viewer (event 58064) and no one knows about it.

You can definitely configure a "Media Insert" alert / email notification from BE icon - Configuration & Settings - Alerts & Notifications, though I am not quite sure if it will include other information such as specific slot and specific media.

So in this case how do I know which media that the backup job need it specifically ?

Such information would be displayed in the alert from Backup Exec UI itself.

If it is a backup job, you would need to insert an overwritable tape.

It does not matter which tape is inserted.  It just have to be overwritable.
