I'm running Windows server 2003, I need some directions on how to do a backup using Symantec Backup Exec 12.5.
Currently users My Docs are rerouted to the server e.g u:\Drive, I need to know how to setup a schedule please help
You need to first plan a backup stratergy and it depend of number of factors such as
1. How long the data should be protected
2.How much storage is available
3. Time Window for backup job
4.To which storage you want the backup to run
5. How much data you want to backup and in which order according to the priority of the data
7. What application are using the folder or server
these are just few of the things which you should keep in mind . Please let us know if you have issue in any specific .
