How to get around the reboot

I am currently troubleshooting a problem and removed a remote agent from a server. I now need to reinstall the remote agent - is there anyway to do this without rebooting the server? I cannot reboot this server so now I cannot back it up. ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Correct me if I am wrong, but install/uninstall of remote agent for windows does not require reboot. Check the log file under Windows directory (called bckupinst.log) on the status of the install (at the very bottom of the log file).

Hello Melanie

You shouldn't be prompted to restart the server if you try to install the BE remote agent.

A reboot is required if AOFO is being installed.
