How to store completed backup job in D drive

Dear all,

 

Good evening.

could you please help me ...we are using backup exec 2012. i have already configured the backup alert to email.

but one of our customer doesnt want this by email. he want to store this in a common location (network drive)

Hi,

 

No way to store the job log to a drive. It would be attached to an email. What you can do is set up email notification with the job log attached, but then you'd manually have to save the file to the network drive.

You can add this in as an Idea if you would like to see it implemented in future (no guarantee of this):

As mentioned by Craig above the job logs cant be automatically saved out to another location. You could however save them to a chosen location without having to email them you could simply open the the job log in the console and select Save As and choose your location. 

note the job logs are saved by default to c:\programfiles\symantec\backupexec\data

by defaulte these logs are kept for 30 days before being deleted from the database but this can be adjusted by clicking on the Backup exec button on the top left, configuration and settings, backup exec settings, database maintenance and adjusting the job log retention field
