I can't erase dds 4 tape

Drive: Seagate DAT 9SP40-000
Tape: DDS

Sorry for my little english.
I have uninstalled Tapeware that is uninstable and I have installed Backup Exec 10 for Windows Server.
I can't use or erase tape writed by Tapeware, Backup Exec want a clean tape, but the utility for erase tape in the option are disabled.
Have you a tool or utility for erase them?

You should not have to physically erase the tape in order to use it with BEX V10. Try writing a new label on the tape (Click on device tab, select the tape drive, right click and Label Media) then put that media into the scratch pool. You should then be able to erase the tape. Remember that a long erase does take a long time, the same amount of time it would take to write data to the full length of the tape.

Did you uninstall the tapeware drivers and install the BE drivers ?
