IDR Creation Problem

Gareth_Bates
Level 2
Have recently upgraded from Win2k to Win2k3 and I was trying to update the CD ISO IDR image.

On running the IDR prep wizard, I get to the stage of entering the Win2k3 license key and setting the option to Create and Add the ASR files to CD.

I then get the following error message: Error opening "\\SERVERNAME\C$\Program Files\Veritas\Backup Exec\IDR\Data\Disk4\drmtable" the data is invalid.

Looking in the location given there is no drmtable file, I have re-installed Backup Exec and the file is not there.

Any help would be great.

Gareth,

Here's the link you need... http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/233632.htm .

You'll find that the registry key "HKLM/Software/Veritas/Backup Exec/Engine/Misc/Disaster Recovery Path" mentioned will need to be changed to C:\Program Files\VERITAS\Backup Exec\NT\IDR as mentioned in the article. I got exactly the same thing as you did only yesterday with with a customer of ours and it's all working fine now.

John.

John,

Thanks for your reply, I tried your the fix that you suggested but unfortunately it didn't work.

I can't even find the drmtable file on the server.
