We are using BE v9.1 SP2.
One of our server which has Remote Agent had failed, so we tried to recover this system through IDR option.
When we rebooted this system with IDR Bootable Image, we could see Windows Setup (Blue Screen), Partitioning, Copying Files and Rebooting.
After that, instead of displaying IDR Wizard, the server was recurring reboot again and again.

Our system configuration is:
Model: COMPAQ DL 380 G2
CPU: 1.2GHz
Mem: 1.2GB
Disk: (3) 18GB RAID5
Partition: C: 9GB, D: ~25GB
OS : Windows 2000 Server SP4

Does anybody have this kind of problem?

This is a very common problem- just search these forums for IDR.

Nobody has ever presented a truely great solution. My best advice, try a manual restore.

Hello,

What was the procedure you followed for creating IDR diskettes of the remote server? Check out the steps from the Administartor's manual on page 933-936. You can download it at the following link:

Title: VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) 9.1 for Windows Servers Administrator's Guide (English)
http://support.veritas.com/docs/266190

Do let us know if it helps. In case you get any errors in your attempt at restoring IDR, do explain in detail.

However if we do not receive your update within two business days, this post would be marked ‘assumed answered’ and would be moved to ‘answered questions’ pool.

Regards.

I have made bootable CD image by following BE Administrator's Guide.
When we test IDR Recovery, everything was fine.
But when the real recovery comes out, this problem has happened...

Thanks for reply...
