Installed Backup Exec on different server and need to move catalogs over

How can i import the catalog info from 1 server to another? I backed it up and uninstalled the BackupExec on the older server and installed on a new one...

Im no expert but first you need to make the backups available to the software. Then do an inventory of the media containing the backups. Then catalog the media. Search right in the software for Cateloging media I think there is a fairly straightforward instruction there.

Too bad you didn't ask first

 

There is a procedure to migrate an entire install, including schedukes, jobs and catalogs to a new server

 

At this point, you should be able to just restore the old \Catalog directory to the new server, then see http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/272886.htma
