Installing Backup Exec 8.6 on Windows 2003 Server

I need to install the Backup Exec on a new Windows 2003 Server to connect the device only to restore the data from a backup on an old 2000 server machine. Then I will be uninstalling backup exec because I have an internal tapeware device for backups for the new server. Does anyone know of any problems with just restoring data vice doing backups with 8.6 on Windows 2003 server.

Can't install v8.6 on W2K3. You need v9.0.4454 as a minimum
