Installing RALUS on RHEL 4 on iSeries

Hi,
I have 6 RHEL4 partitions running on my iSeries 520. I was unable to get RALUS to install on them, and upon further research, I found that only RHEL 3 on i386 was officially supported. Will RHEL4 and the iSeries (IBM Power 5) platform be supported in an upcoming version (soon)? or should I look into returning my RALUS licenses.

Hi,

As you are already aware that Red Hat Linux 4.0 is not tested with Backup Exec 10.0. Hence we cannot guarantee any results...

You may try installing the "legacy agent" from here

"VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) UNIX Agent 5.0 revision 5.046"

Currently, Linux on non-Intel/AMD processors is not supported. Please submit a request to http://enhancement.veritas.com. Customer feedback can help influence future platforms for support by our remote agents.
