Intelligent Disaster Recover

I have a server running Win Server 2003 R2. We are using Backup Exec 11d. The wizard for IDR is dimmed how do I enable this. Is ther another component to buy and does it do a bare metal restore?

But my opinion of it is extremely low, based on the amount of trouble people have had, from the many forum posts  (I've never even been tempted to try it, honestly)

I have never had success with this type of restore. Do you know of a good solution to this problem?

Claims to be able to do restores to same, similar or dissimilar hardware, but i've never tried it out

Any more feedback from users of Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery Server Edition. Does it actually put a server back like it was?
