Inventory Robolic Library Problem

Hi,

We are newly upgraded our BE from 12.5 to 2010. Everything is working fine, except we need to inventory our library at least 2 times to get the correct tapes information. We had no problem in ver. 12.5 before. I tried to reinstall the hardware / hardware driver, but problems still there.

Did anyone encounter this problem before??

Try running the live update and install all the available fixes ..

Does the inventory completes Successfully or it fails ?

It completes, but the medias are not correct at all. Sometimes it will show those offline media, but we didn't insert it. This problem occur in the 1st time inventory, if we inventory 2nd time or more, it goes right.

Hi Swong

  Check the device manager, Medium changer should appear as "Unknown Medium Changer" and Tape Drive has to be configured

   with Symantec drivers with version 5.1.37.0, Also check Windows System log for any odd event id's.

What happend when you run inventory from the Tape library console ? can you check this as it would let us conculde if the issue is with library or Backup exec
