Is there a way to create a report db for symantec 12 and 10D?

Hi Guys,

 

Im new in the backup world and im on a task of creating a reporting DB for all our back-up servers currently we are running exec 10D and version 12. any open source i can use? hope u can assist me and all suggestions are welcome.

You did not specify what kind of reporting you need.  Have you check out the reporting section of BE.  There are some canned reports and you can set up some customised reports.

Do be aware that BE 10d and BE 12 are rather old.  Their EOL are 2006 and 2010 respectively.  You should look at upgrading them so that you would have a backup software that is compatible with newer technologies.  If you are on a current maintenance contract, the upgrade is free.
