Hy, I have different backups jobs with an storage appliance like destination (cifs resources) which hasn't got agent installed (example datadomain appliance cif services)

Are there any way to evoid the exception generated for a destination which hasn't got agent installed?

Thanks,

Eduardo

Any method to do a backup without alerts of any storages appliance (emc, netapp, nec, hp)

Any workaround?

Exceptions are better then failed status, below article shows how the backup completes but the

status appears as failed while backing up NAS device.

Yes, of course, but isn't the solution, may be symantec could add a field on job configuration to mark if the destination is an storage appliance or not and then evoid the alert......

Thanks

You can use the NDMP option to backup Netapp .

It is a paid option and have look on the compatibility list to check if the NAS or Netapp device you have is listed in the compatibility guide .
