Job gets queued half way through

Our weekly / monthly tape jobs are getting queued when the reach about 200gb. We get the alret message

"Please insert overwritable media into the robotic library using the import command.

Overwritable media includes scratch, blank, and recyclable media. Please note that depending on the current Media Overwrite Protection setting, imported and allocated media may be overwritable as well. Consult the online help for more information on overwritable media."

Now these tapes can hold 400Gb so there is plenty of room on them, Plus i have tried to run the same job on 4 different tapes (2 of which were brand new) and the all stop at about 200gb.

please help.

Try putting the media in scratch media and then run the job.

You say Now these tapes can hold 400Gb , are you sure that the tapes are not rated 200/400?

Do you have compression enabled for the job? either Hardware or software

yes the tapes are 200/400, however when the backup job runs full they backup about 370gb of data without a problem.

And yes we have the, use hardware compression or software compression enabled
