I have a newly built Windows 2003 Small Business Server R2. The install was done less than a week ago. Tape drive is a Sony SDX-570v and is connected via SATA. I initially had the issue of two drives showing up in Backup Exec. Per the knowledge base I downloaded and installed the patch per KB 303324. This fixed the issue of the second drive benig shown. Now if I start any job, the job will show running, but it will never produce any output and seems to be hung on Initializing. No errors are logged. I have an inventory job on a brand new blank tape, and after 35 minutes it had not progressed past initializing under current operation.
I have tried un-installing and re-installing Backup Exec and the patch. The same issue keeps coming back.
Any ideas?
