LTO 3 Throughput Diminsihed

We have a recurring issue with our IBM 3582 with an LTO 3 drive. For some reason, the throughput in Veritas keeps going from 564MB/min down to 163MB/min. We recently installed the latest device drivers which fixed the problem for about a week and then it reverted back again. Any thoughts or assistnace would be appreciated.

Hello,

Stop the antivirus service if it is running during the backup.

Also check if there are any pending alerts.

Verify if you are getting event id's 7,9,11 or 15.
