I am starting to see the error "? load media" in my backups.
An hour before the backup, I run a inventory job. That inventory job yesterday night ran fine and showed yesterday's tape as being loaded.
However, the daily backup job didn't run an hour later. I see the a question mark inside a yellow circle and the word 'load media' like this "? load media" The job was paused.
This is the message I got from the alert:
Please insert overwritable media into the drive.
Overwritable media includes scratch, blank, and recyclable media. Please note that depending on the current Media Overwrite Protection setting, imported and allocated media may be overwritable as well. Consult the online help for more information on overwritable media.
Respond Yes to acknowledge.
Respond No to retry the operation.
Respond Cancel to cancel the operation.
This is the same tape I've used last Tuesday.
Yes, the backup services are running.
Yes, the program is up to date.
Yes, the media was overwriteable.
What gives?
