Logon Account Failed to Access Exchange Mailboxes

David_Gadway

Hello,

I've seen several posts on this topic, and have followed the steps described:
1. Create an account, such as buexec, giving it domain and enterprise admin rights.
2. Assign this account to BUExec services.
3. Add this account to Logon Accounts within BE.
4. Right click on Exchange Mailboxes, select CONNECT AS, and select the account just added in #3 above...

Tried this several different ways, but still no luck.

Reason for problem: Former sysadmin no longer here, and have inherited the backup job, which is, of course, failing.

Thanks in advance,

David

Have you made sure you've configured Outlook on your media server to connect to the Exchange mailbox for the buexec mailbox, confirmed that when you open Outlook on the server that this account can be accessed, and that the buexec mail account is visible in the e-mail address list?

Gary and Keith,

Thanks for your reply.

Gary, yes, I had seen that link, which is where much of my steps to date have come from.

Keith, I took your advice and installed Outlook on the media server, which is also a SQL server. I configured it to use buexec as the account, and yes, I can that account in the Global Address List when I click on the TO button for a new email address.

I still have the same error...

Any further ideas?

Thanks in advance.

David,

Is the exchange server on a different subnet?

Gilly,

Exchange is not on a different subnet mask.
