MAC Agent for BE10

We have installed the MAC Agent (v 5.045) on a G5 Server running OS 10.3.9. On the Media Server (running Windows 2000 SP4) we have BackupExec 10 installed. We can see the G5 Server and all the files, but when we try to run a back up job, we get an error saying "Make sure the remote agent is installed and running." I can verify that it is installed and running.

Any help on this? Could this be a permissions issue? Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hello,

Please refer the following technotes and check your configuration.
Title:
How to install the Backup Exec 9.1 Agent for Mac OS X

Title:
Troubleshooting a Macintosh computer that does not appear in the VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) for Windows NT and Windows 2000 Backup Selections tab.

If the configuration is correct do revert.

I have already done that. I believe I have resolved this issue with the help of Veritas Support. I edited the cfg file to bypass the password. It seems to be running now.
