Media problem

Hi,

I'm having a constant error whereby Backup Exec is failing the backup of our Exchange serrver with the following error:

Media CheckOnline media check : Insufficient online or nearline media is available to start job.Overwrite media check: There is no media online or nearline that can be overwritten or the job has been marked append/terminate.Media check status : Failed

We are using a DLT Tape drive and tapes which have a capacity of 80gb. The backup is failing after backing up of 70gb which is why this makes no sense. Surely it should fail a little a closer to the threshold of 80gb? Previous backups were successful at around 76gb.

Along with the answer to Bob's Question, we would like to know:

- Media Set properties?
- Is Compression enabled? If yes which type of compression.
- Tools -> Options -> Media management settings

The job is marked to overwrite and the overwrite protection level is set to none. Is there anymore information you require?

As for compression, this is set to hardware
