Medien overwrite

Hello,

I am very new with veriats Backup Exec. I have a tape library with 8 slots.
In slot 5 and 6 I have tapes, I want to use for friday fullbackup. one for friday-2 and one for friday-3.
How can I say the engine to use first the tape friday-2 and than 3?
Is it posible to that the writeprotection by hand?
So I can the friday-3 ist writeprotect until Jun 16. 2005
and Friday -2 until Jun 9. 2005

When I that the writeprotection in the mediaset the tape is protected imidiatly when I move it in this set.

Hi,

You may create partitions within the 8 slots so that one partition has just one slot.

After creating partition you may allocate the slots to different media sets having desired overwrite protection and append periods.
