Migrating Backup-To-Disk files to a different backup-to-disk folder.

Hi,

We have 2 Backup-To-Disk folders. I'd like to migrate data from one of the folders to the other. Each folder represents a different storage array.

How can we migrate the media from one folder to another?

If we understand the issue , you have e.g

-Backup-To-Disk folder 1 and Backup-To-Disk folder 2 but on different storage array. ?
-also you want to change location of these folders or ?

You are partially correct.

We do have 2 backup to disk folders on 2 different storage arrays.

We do not want to change the location of the folders - we only want to be able to migrate completed backups from one folder to another. The only way I see to migrate data currently is to migrate from the B2D to tape. We just want to migrate from one array to another, since one is very fast and the other is slower.

Hi,

That means you are going to copy .bkf files from the one folder to other ..

Try coping some files to faster array and try running restore after inventory and catalog of faster array ...

You can also run duplicate backup as you have mentioned !
