Missing Task Pane

Had a problem with BackupExec 11d build 7170, it installed, but the task pane on the left side did not

install.

Was able to get by without till recently, all jobs are now in a "server paused" state and I cannot get them out.

When I start BackupExec I get the following

  ->  File Download Security Warning

I had a problem w/ the task pane too, finally I got Symantec tech support to fix it. I am posting the solution wherever I can, so others can quickly fix it.

At command prompt:

1. naviagte to C:\Windows\System32

2. type: regsvr32 msxml.dll

3. type: regsvr32 msxml1.dll

4. type: regsvr32 msxml2.dll

5. type: regsvr32 msxml3.dll

6. type: regsvr32 msxml4.dll

7. reboot

for me, the mssml1.dll failed, all others were sucessful.  this fixed the problem on my pc.
