I had to install a new backup server (backup-srv2), and set it up with a fresh install of backup exec 12.5. I would like to move all the catalog and media info from the old server (backup-srv1, also running be 12.5) to the new one.
How do I do that?

Stop services for Backup Exec on the new server. Rename the old catalog folder. Copy the old catalog folder into the current install directory on the new server. Open a command line and and navigate to "c:\program files\symantec\backup exec" and type catrebuildindex -r. Once this is compelete start services for Backup Exec and all of your catalog information should be there when you try to restore.
