Customer has Windows 2000 server and using Backup Exec 8.5 Rev 3572. Has worked fine for 2 years. SCSI Tape drive (Travan 20GB) died and equivalent replacement Certance drive obtained.
Had to replace SCSI cable before machine would recognise new drive. But new drive appears not to recognize the media used in the old drive, unless media is first erased (used Device|quick erase). However, most backup jobs do not complete (only about 10Gb is being backed up before an Alert comes up asking for tape to be removed). Tonight I have reduced the size of the backup job but now on startup Alert is reporting "Launched job failed to run. Return error code = 0X0, 0X2" and also "Launched job failed to run. Return error code = 0X0, 0X5".
Can anyone suggest just where the problem is?
