Multiple backups, one job

In BE 12.5 I had a daily backup to tape job which comprised of 8 servers. Now that I have upgraded to BE 2012 and imported the backup job it seems the way backups work has been reveresed - you now have multiple servers using the same backup job. My problem now is that after backing up the first server the tape is now locked and the next server is unable to backup to the same tape. In 12.5 the tape would only be locked after the last server was backed up. So how do you back up multiple servers to the same tape?

Upgrade to be 2014 when it is released and the ability to backup multiple remote servers in one job is available again and makes it easy to then get the multiple servers on one tape.
