Hi,
I was having a lot of errors in my backup jobs and the server have another lab application, so we decide to uninstall the Veritas and install it in new server, so we did that and our OS is windows 2003 SP1, and our first job for testing was good but when we start the incremental & the full backup we found it's taking to much time,
Do I need to configure any thing in the backup device or the media server or install any patch for this issue??Any help

From backup log :-

Hello,

However, some of the prominent reasons for slow backups might be:

1. Excessive drive fragmentation can adversely affect system performance, increase the amount of time it takes to run a backup, and cause VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) agents, such as the Open File Option, to potentially fail when a backup job is launched.

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/237444.htm

2. It has been observed in some cases that the Windows 2003 server backups are slow. If the backup performance has declined over a period of time then please go through the following document.

http://support.veritas.com/docs/263139

3. As a preliminary step of troubleshooting, install the latest veritas tape device drivers.

4. VERITAS Backup Exec (tm) settings can be modified to reduce the amount of time it takes for a backup to run Refer to the following technote:

http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/249090.htm

5. Re-Schedule/Disable any Antivirus scans that might kick-off during Backup Job.
