Need documentation for upgrade from 9.1 to 10.0 for SSO setup

After searching the site I have not been able to find the needed documentation to upgrade from BE 9.1 to BE 10.0

The backup scheme is configured like this:

1ea - SAN connected backup server which is the Primary SSO server. This server backs up non-SAN connected servers.

10ea - SAN connected Exchange servers which are all secondary SSO servers. Each of these backs up only itself.

1ea - SAN connected Compaq Enterprise Storage Library (ESL9198)

Every SAN connected backup server has Backup Exec 9.1, Backup Exec 9.1 SP1, Hotifx 22, and Hotfix 33

Does Symantec have documentation on the upgrade path for a SAN connected installation like ours?

Do we first upgrade the Primary SSO server, then all of the secondary nodes?

Can the upgrade be performed incrementally?

Can the installation function with the primary node at v.10 while some or all of the secondary nodes remain at v.9.1?

Does the upgrade preserver all data.. job history, catalogs etc.?

Thanks in advance,

Mark

Hello,

You can follow the procedure below:

You can make the primary and secondary servers stand-alone and then upgrade them to 10.0 and then bring them back into the SAN SSO environment

Steps to be performed:

1. Add the primary and the secondary servers in beutility.
2. Righ click each server and click “Make Standalone”
3. Upgrade the primary server and the secondary servers to 10.0
4. Right click the primary server and click “Set Primary SAN SSO Server” and type in the primary server name
5. Right click each secondary server and click “Set Primary SAN SSO Server” and type in the primary server name

Thanks,
