Need how-to or whitepaper on backup and restore sharepoint

Hi,

I've got a valid license for Backup Exec SharePoint (11d), it's installed, but it seems that I can only take a backup of my entire sharepoint farm.  How do I recover a single document or site, as seems to be possible according to your website. Is there a step-by-step guide available, or whitepaper? Is it necessary to backup the IIS Metabase, local files, and/or SQL if I use the SharePoint agent to backup my farm.

Hi Jim,

When you run the backup as long as you have the option "Enable the restore of individual documents from the database backup" enabled you will be able to run the restore from a full farm backup.
