Hi everyone,
My customers company had 2 Exchange 2010 server, 1 SAN storage, 1 DELL Storage.
Issue:
- They want to backup from SAN to DELL storage.
What does license need to this topology??, I sugested they using Backup Exec 2014

If you are going to use it as a disk storage, then you don't need any additional licence. However, if you are going to use it as an OST appliance, if it is capable, then you need to buy the dedup option licence.

You need a core BE licence, an Agent for Application and Databases to backup Exchange
If you are going to use the Dell storage as a disk storage, then you don't need any additional licence. However, if you are going to use it as an OST appliance, if it is capable, then you need to buy the BE dedup option licence. In addition, you would need to buy whatever Dell licences to turn the Dell device into an OST device.

What is core BE license?? Is Enterprise Options server??
Because Im a newbie of this license so sorry of awkwardness so much :)
