Need to MOVE jobs to a new server/version

I need to move my Backup Exec (V.10d) Jobs/Selection lists from Server ABC

TO: Backup Exec (V.11d) Server XYZ.

Yes, I have all the proper licenses.
No, I DON'T want to install Version 10 and then do an upgrade.
I REALLY want a 'clean' install.

I can run BEUtility on ABC and Copy Media Server Configuration
HOWEVER.
When I run BEUtility on XYZ, the Apply Copied Media Server Configuration fails with an 'RPC Procedure Failed.

Apparently the format of the .CFG file chaged between versions.

Is there a way to do this or must I re-create all of my backup jobs and selection lists?????

Unless you are willing to blow away the XYZ BackupEexec, migrate v10 to that machine and then upgrade in place. I'm afraid you are stuck with recreating everything from scratch

What are your plans for the 10D Backup Server? One option (not supported) would be to upgrade your old 10D server to 11D and then copy over the jobs /selection lists. This Might, and I stress might work.

Depending on how many jobs you need to create it might be easier to go ahead and do that instead of going the upgrade/migration route.

Ken, Joe,

Not exactly what I wanted to hear but pretty much what I expected.
I've got about 100 jobs; more of a pain than all that difficult to recreate.

I'm probably being paranoid about wanting the clean install but if I did the upgrade, it would be the fifth Backup Exec upgrade, the third server move and the second tape library change. My experience tells me that it is time for a fresh start..

Thanks for the replies.
