Hope you’re all well. Was wondering if anyone had seen anything similar to this, and might point me towards a fix? I've had a rummage around the boards, but don't see anything as regards a fix (but apologies if I've missed).
Got 2 x 2003 standard servers:
Server1 acting as a DC and also BE Media Centre.
Server2 is member server, running Exchange 2003 Enterprise (SP2-7638.2).
Backing up Exchange always results in:
Completed status: Failed
Final error: 0xe000fea9 - The Backup Exec data store encountered a problem during the operation. See the job log for details.

Then goes onto mention:
Backup- \\server2.domain.local\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group
V-79-57344-3850 - The media operation was terminated by the user.
Looking at the logs, no Exchange info has been backed up at all. The Symantec link is largely useless, but does suggest performing an NTBackup against the mail stores, which has been done and works without issue (speedy too). I have no reason to believe there’s anything wrong with the exchange databases and would prefer not to take them offline if at all possible (distance to server reasons).
Backup Exec is version 11d – rev 7170, w/SP2, hotfixes 31 to 35 installed.
If anyone has any thoughts, they’d be greatly appreciated.
