No Media Servers are Available- Not a Tape Drive issue

I am currently getting "Ready; No Media Servers are Available".  This has nothing to do with a tape drive as this happens for any job ran.  Ejecting tape, Backup to Disk/Folder Job, Inventory, etc.  I have rebooted, restarted services, ran all updates, but yet I can't get any job to run.

Any ideas?

Running BE 12.0 on a Windows 2003 Server.

When it says no media server available it means when you run the job it is not able to connect to media server it self.

Please check the services and make sure all of them are runnnig under the correct account. The remote agent service should be under LSA and all other services should be under domain account

If it still doesn't resolve run the repair install of BE.

Make sure the Removeable storage service is disabled .
Also you have the latest symantec drivers for the tape drive

All that you stated are correct, so repair seems to be the only option, however, I can't seem to find the MSI file needed to do this repair.  Any idea if it's possible to download the BE 12.0 version still?  If not I guess I might have to upgrade.

Follow the process mentioned in http://support.veritas.com/docs/309623  as this issue may hapen if a flag for "server paues" has been set in the Backup Exec database and has not been removed.

Also make sure to run live update and made sure that all updates and hotfixes are installed.

If this fixes the issue, mark this as the "sollution".

If you still have your v12.0 serial   see http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/316608.htm to get the install source
