No files/drives showing under restore

Hello,

I was at a client's site and was just briefly looking at their BackupExec 8.0 installation and had noticed that under the restore tab that there are no options at all to restore files although the server has been successfully doing nightly backups. I was onsite a few weeks back and all seemed ok under the restore tab, but now it shows as this:

I have tried what's outlined here:

I have even cataloged a tape, and performed a small backup after performing the above steps with no success.

What can I do to further diagnose the problem, or even better, fix it?

If deleting all the temp files and betopcat.idx didn't help, I'm stumped. That normally does it

Did you try shutting down the services, renaming the \catalogs dir, creating a new \catalogs directory and restarting the services, then inventory and catalog?

May or may not affect this, but I'd also recommend the free upgrade to the latest v8.5 release at http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/235770.htm
