Seems to me there is a problem with sending smtp email notifications with version 10. My notifications worked fine up until i upgraded to version 10.

So after reading all the posts referring to this problems is there a actual fix that BLOODY WELL WORKS?

replace smtpdll, etc... apply sp1 etc... does not solve the problem. COME ON VERISTAS get your shit together

9.1 worked fine, I upgrade and it now fails, the your message size is to large, you ISP settings are incorrect is just not cutting it

Mine works just fine. Are you using a smtp server that resolves locally? Do an nslookup on the smtp server address you are using and see if it checks out okay.

Everything works just fine, I can telnet to server without any problems.

As already mentioned this problem started immediately after upgrade to version 10. There are many posts regarding this issue. A search for notification will attest to this.

All these fixes do not work and some don't even apply to version 10
