OFO: Out of memory.

Hi,

We have a windows 2003 platform where the backup exec is installed. Everytime we run a backup we get the below error
OFO: Initialization failure on: "\\SS-BLACKBURN-01\Shadow?Copy?Components". Advanced Open File Option used: Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS).
OFO: Out of memory.


have tried using all the advanced open file options and at the moment have it as chose the best available.

any idea regarding this.it backsup everything fine but do get this error. pls help!

Hi Sumit,

Have you tried backnig up using NTbackup?

Are you just backing up the Shadow Copy Component

You will need to install a hotfix for this and this hotfix is only provided by Microsoft as VSS is a Microsoft product.

Running Windows 2003 Standard SP1 and BE 9.1 Microsoft documentation says hotfix 826751 is included in SP1, but I am still getting OFO: Out of memory - 0x8007000e errors. Any further recommendations?

Nope.. we are still struggling.. trying to read elsewhere. if i find anything useful will post it here. in the mean time if any1 else has a solution.. do let us know.
