I am trying to backup open files on a remote netware server. My backup server is a windows 2000 server running Backup Exec for Windows v10. I have pushed a Netware remote agent from the backup server to a remote Netware server and can successfully backup files on the remote netware server but not if they are open. I read about the Open Files Option for Remote Netware servers for BUE Windows v10, but the veritas rep told me what I really needed to do was buy the Open Files Option for Backup Exec for Netware Servers v9.1 and install that on the remote Netware server. I am trying to install this but the installation program cannot connect to my Windows 2000 media server, presumably because it's not a Netware server.
Has anyone sucessfully backed up oepn files on a remote netware server using BUE for windows v10 running on a windows server. Please tell me how I can set it up!
