Oracle Agent question?

We had Backup Exec 9.1. and just upgraded to 10d. Everything worked except for the Oracle agent.

(Note we are still using the old agent version. Just have pushed out the new versions.)

Also, though we did not purchase the new Oracle agent for 10d, but I was under the impression that the old one would work. We upgraded because of SQL 2005. (We are getting rid of Oracle in a few months, but need now.

When I go and create a job, the oracle agent does not show up. Can anyone help me? Thank you.

Hello,

In order to enable oracle backups in Backup Exec 10d, you would need to install the oracle agent license for 10.x. Oracle backups are not possible with the earlier versions of oracle agent licenses.
