Has anyone gotten a duplicate Oracle backup job to complete successfully? When ever I try and duplicate an Oracle job I get a

Appendable until: Infinite - Allow Append

Followed by an error

Please insert overwritable media into the drive.

Overwritable media includes scratch, blank, and recyclable media. Please note that depending on the current Media Overwrite Protection setting, imported and allocated media may be overwritable as well. Consult the online help for more information on overwritable media.

Respond Yes to acknowledge.
Respond No to retry the operation.
Respond Cancel t o cancel the operation.

This even occurs on tapes that I deleted and added to scratch media. The backup is not large and is not filling up the tape. This problem does not occur when I backup files from disk (which are much larger than the Oracle backup). Any suggestions? Thank you.

Have you tested this with another B2D device?

Have you tested this with a brand new tape?

If it works with a new B2D and a new tape then there is most likely something in your media retention settings that is preventing the media from being used and should be reviewed more in depth than can be done in the forums.
