Windows Server 2003R2......Backup Exec 11d......Backups been running fine for months. Now all of a sudden no backups or Inventorys will run. Keep getting the following messages in the Event Viewer.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Backup Exec
Event Category: None
Event ID: 34113
Date:  1/10/2008
Time:  9:22:58 AM
User:  N/A
Computer: MTJ16
Description:
Backup Exec Alert: Job Failed

I updated using Live Update. Rebooted. Under Devices it had the library offline. Changed that back to online and then i get messages that the library is not found. I've diabled and enabled the device. Nothing works.

I also get this when i try to inventory now....
Inventory Library 00048 -- The job failed with the following error: Physical Volume Library Drive or Robot paused, offline, or disabled.
It is not paused.....offline....or disabled....????????????

TIA!

Check in device manager and make sure that the tape library is listed in device manager.  It should be listed under Medium Changers.  Also verify that the tape drives are still listed as well.

If both are listed, check the application/system event logs for any hardware errors.
