Upgrading to 11d or should wait for 12

Hello All,
 
we have ver.9.1 and we are planning to buy a new LTO 3. Is it better to upgrade the software as well ?
is there any advantage to have a newer version?

I  must say no....
 
If you are going to buy all new licenses - I would look at alternative products.
 
I can read alot about 11d and upgrade problems in here. Also take a look at the posts concerning Symantec support. I would really like a refund on our Symantec licenses.

Advantages of 11d over 9.1 (off the top of my head):
  • Support for SQL 2005
  • Support for Exchange 2007
  • Support for Sharepoint 2007
  • Continuous Protection Server
  • Encryption
  • Granular Restore Technology

Advantages of 12d over 11d:

  • No-one knows yet... Smiley Tongue

Thanks guys. i will wait for ver.12d or might keep the 9.1 as it is not giving any trouble and we dont have complex enviroment.
