Poxy product hanging again...

Such {Editted for content}ology getting on to this site.
 
Anyway...
2 servers. 1 2003 with Exec running with a new LTO tape drive.
Another 2000 server with Domino 6.5.
Installed all products on server one. Remote installed agent to server 2.
 
Backup will run after reboot of both servers.
Next day, job stops on contact with Domino server and just sits there.
The only way to get it to go again is a reboot.
 
I hate this product so much. I want to go back to Arcserve which works.
Corporate policy says I have to use this **bleep**e but the Corps are pissed off about the 2 Grand we have spent.
 
Any route out or do we just put this {Editted for content} in the bin?
 
As regards any help from Symantec - It's non existant...
Something CA were pretty good at.

This is a known problem with the domino agent. There is no fix as yet. The only work around is to keep stopping and starting the agent after each backup. Or you could try using VSS as open file technology to backup your domino databases.
