Environment:
Windows 2003 r2 Standard Server
Backup Exec 2010 Rev 2896
HP Storage Array for B2D
HP MSL6000 Robotic Tape Library
Problem:
Cannot get B2D jobs to transfer to Tape via Robotic Library. Job catalogs are seemingly lost and I cannot recreate catalog. B2D jobs execute fine. Inventory jobs of the B2D 'tapes' execute fine. Catalog jobs of the B2D 'tapes' fail with error code E0000900.
Duplicate Backup jobs to transfer the B2D jobs to tape fail with Error code E00094444.
I have renamed the old catalog folder in order to try to recreate the catalogs. Did not work.
I have confirmed that the Tape Library is fine via HP LT&T tool.
Have tried the following cases with no luck:

Any Help would be much appreciated on this.

Try re-creating your backup and duplicate jobs. This should be simple enough to do with a policy.

I believe I have seen a similar error with another Customer whose system crashed on most backups when storing the Catalogs the whole program folder actually), on a disk array.
Change the catalogs location to another location, that is, another disk, that is not part of the array to check what happens.
To do this, create a folder named "Catalogs" on the independent disk drive.
Then, in Backup Exec, go to Tools, Options, Catalogs, and change the catalogs path pointing to the new drive and folder.
Restart the Backup Exec services and run the jobs again.
Please keep us posted about the results, and if this is not the solution, please specify what exactly it is that you are backing up so we can help you further.
