Problems with policies - times not changing correctly

RLC0101
Level 4

We are running Backup Exec 12.5 with current live updates on a Windows 2008 server.

We are using policies to create a B2D, B2T and then B2T again.  This gets us backup to disk, backup to tape (for on-site), and backup to tape again (for off-site storage).  The system we have in place is working consistently for us.  Our problems occur when we attempt to alter the times that the jobs within the policy are to be initiated.  We need to do this because of adding and deleting servers and data rate changes.

We have setup the B2D job to run at a specific time (let's say 5PM Friday)  "Run according to Schedule".  The first B2T job is set to "Run only according to rules for this template" (it's start time is set to 5PM Friday).  The 2nd B2T job is set to run at a specific time "Run according to Schedule", hopefully scheduled after the completion of the first B2T job.

If we change the time on the B2D job (let's say 9PM Friday), the first B2T job does not change it's time (it stays at 5PM Friday).  And the first B2T job initiates at the incorrect time (5PM Friday) and errors out because there is no data for it to backup.  The B2D job and the second B2T job run fine.    This happens consistently on all policies.

The only way we have found a workaround to this is to set the first B2T job to "Run according to schedule" and set the date interval and time interval to match (9PM Friday) the start of the B2D job.  Then we switch the first B2T job back to "Run only according to rules for this template" and the time will hold.

This creates a bunch of extra work as we many policies that this is happening with.

Any help would be appreciated.
