Question about Veritas Update

Hi,

I installed SP4a. After that Veritas Update shows this update:

be4691RHF54_278467
be4691RSP3_278302

I think that above updates are for SP3. How I have to know that I need another updates for BE after Sp4a?

-Is the installation of SP4a successful ?without any error ?
-have you restarted Server after installing SP4a ?
-Check the changed files version of following .exe on the server , if it shows the correct way, SP4a is installed.

Hi,

1. Yes, Installation of SP4a was successful, without any error
2. I restarted server after installing SP4a
3. I have the same files version/size

Have I reinstall all remote agents for windows servers? It was install before install SP4a. Daily backups works ok after SP4a on remote servers.

I get this too on four seperate PCs (on different networks). Two running SBS 2003 SP1, and two running Windows Server 2003 SP1

No errors encountered when installing SP4a

Yes, after the upgrading service packs for Backup exec it is required to upgrade the remote agents also.

So are you saying install the two SP3 hotfixes even though SP4a has been installed?

Hello,

if you have successfully installed SP4a there is no need to install SP3. You only need to reinstall the remote agents.
