Ralus Install on Mandrake 10

Hi,
While i am aware that the Ralus linux agent is not on the listed OS's by Veritas it should still install.

When attempting to install i get the following error message even though i am logged in as root.

Anyone have any ideas?

# ./installralus
CPI ERROR V-9-10-1179 installralus must be run by a user with root ID

As Mandrake Linux v10 is not been explicity tested with BEWS v10.0, RALUS installation cannot be work as per standard.

Just like Aalok Pathak stated, Mandrake 10.0 is not on the RALUS support matrix.

I have had success in the past by installing the just the RPMs, and not executing the install script. However, if you were to run into any trouble, that procedure and Operating System is not supported.

Mandrake keeps the user id information in a diffent location than the distributions RALUS is currently certified against. Try the following:

ln -s /bin/id /usr/bin/id

This will create a link to the id file in the location that the installer expects it.
