Reading older tapes 10d on 12.5

Hi,

Can some one confirm if verions 12.5 Backup Exec for SBS 2008 will be able to read LTO tapes made on an SBS2003 server running 10d (version 10.1 rev 5629?

Hi, yes tapes used in older versions are compatible in Backup Exec 12.5.

BackupExec has always, and continues to use MTF (Microsoft Tape Format) to write to tape, so you should have no problems reading tapes as far back as you care to go with newer versions
