Reinstalled BackupExec & Already installed Agents

On one of our servers, I'll have to change disks and reinstall Windows Server 2003. BackupExec is running on that server, which means I have to reinstall that one too.

My question is: The agents on the other servers, will these have to be reinstalled too, or will the "new" BackupExec installation accept those as they are, and will they in turn accept the new BackupExec installation? -- Or do I have to reinstall all agents too?

Also, are there any other circumstances I should look in to?

(I have limited experience with BackupExec.)

Hello,

As you are going to reinstall Windows 2003 and backup Exec also,

if you are going to install the sam eversion of Backup Exec then there is no need to reinstall the remote agents on other servers.

But you will have to reenter the licenses on the media server if you are using Excgange , SQL, .........
