Reinstalling Veritas Backup Exec After Server Crash

Our Server crashed and we had to reinstall Backup Exec for the CD. However I accidentally clicked on the next button before entering the Product Activation No and installed the trial version instead.

I tried to uninstall the trial version but got the error message cannot find c:\program files\veritas\backup exec\nt\uninst.isu, installation cannot continue.

I then attempted to install the full version from the CD but when I entered the Product Activation No. I got the message invalid serial number althought this is the number quoted on the Software License Certificate

I am using Backup Exec 8.5 for Windows 2000. How do I get the software reinstalled?

Download the latest Veritas version that you are reinstalling.
What server software version are you running?
Some patched and updated operating systems versions will no longer work with the original install CD.
